Knowledgeable and Helpful
I find Dr. Chavez’s podcasts to be easy to understand, full of common sense, and reasonable. I highly recommend listening for anyone who wants a practical way to stay healthy while eating well. He always knows what topics are timely and I appreciate his expertise.
Sound Nutritional Advice
I am grateful for Dr. Chavez’s educated nutrition advice. My Mom is a Carnivore and she embraces it like a new religion. At Thanksgiving she had some food that her body is no longer used to and she got so sick with stomach pain and fever that she almost ended up in the ER. Additionally, her LDL is dangerously high and she thinks that is a good thing. I need sound nutrition advice like I get from Dr Chavez, and a few other science based doctors, to help guide me in positive lifestyle habits and to provide useful information to counter against the grifters marketing their “cure-all” theories. The social media grifter influencers are like the Snake-Oil Salesmen from the Wild West, and are at best profiting from selling useless supplements, and at worst promoting and selling nutrition misinformation that is going to hurt peoples health with their misinformation and probably take years off the lives of many. I am grateful for Dr. Chavez and a few other science based Doctors that are calling out the misinformation to help people live healthier, happier, longer lives. Dr Chavez, please keep doing your thing…your work is important!

Absolutely love love love dr. Chavez. In my opinion th most true and honest doctor who really wants to help us and like he says “ cut through the noise” on social. I think we have to be careful who we listen to nowadays and dr.Chavez is excellent source.

Excellent and entertaining
Informative, helpful, and easy to listen to. It’s just enough information that I can learn a lot but still listen while doing a mindless task like washing dishes. I often get concerned that I’m not doing enough “extra” stuff like taking trendy natural supplements, but this podcast reminds me to focus on the basics (protein, veggies, exercise, etc) and to avoid social media trends. It’s wonderful encouragement that consistency matters. I’ll be recommending this podcast to my friends!
Wow…
I discovered this podcast because I was trying to learn what steps I should take to lower my cholesterol. There is so much information out there, and this podcast helped me truly “cut through the noise.” With the help of Dr. Chavez’s work, I learned what causes cholesterol to increase and how to modify my diet to still eat food I enjoy. With some tweaks, my LDL dropped 29 points and is now within the “normal” range. Through this podcast, I have realized that improving MY nutrition is less about consuming certain foods in “moderation” — whatever that means — and more about consuming an overall balanced diet that makes room for certain foods in context. I have gone from the cliche of everything in moderation to everything in context.
Helpful explanations
During a conversation with my doc, I asked questions about what I should and should not eat. He told me to make sure I was using science based nutrition advice to get it all figured out and then shared this podcast with me. He has learned a lot about nutrition from this doctor, and felt that the way it was explained would be beneficial for my new way of eating. He was right! I’ve learned so much and feel confident that I can make this change over time and do it right. Thank you Dr. Chavez for taking the time to do this for people like me—those who need to know how to make the right changes to be healthier.

“Cut through then noise” is a perfect description. The topics are worthwhile he has done his research, he is not aligned with any particular company so it’s just unbiased science based information communicated in an organized engaging way.

I’m a registered dietitian and this is one of my favorite podcasts! Dr. Chavez gives excellent, research based information for many trending topics in the nutrition and exercise realm. I feel like I learn something new with every episode. Good except for guest discussions
I like this show a lot and find it helpful, evidence based and reasonable. No trendy fear-mongering here. I’ve listened to every episode. With guests: please clarify what your guests are saying in non-jargon language, while also letting them get a word in edgewise! Update 12/10/24 Loved the latest Q&As, but the weight lifting “go heavy or go home” belief is outdated by a decade. High rep, low weight lifting has a place, depending on your age, level, joint health and goals.
Based on facts
Nutrition shouldn’t be political as it is but there we are. I feel he does a good job presenting evidence and facts to back up his opinions instead of just giving unsupported claims. Lots of helpful tips to really improve your health. 5 stars

The facts we need & in a great format
I love this podcast and Dr. Chavez’s videos on instagram. I have learned so much from his videos and have been inspired to take better care of my nutrition again. I appreciate that his stuff is evidence based and that he communicates the facts with compassion. Sometimes he is direct about the needs in our society, and personally, I like that. I loved the episode with Dr. Matthew Nagra especially.
