One of the Best Science-Based Podcasts.
I am so grateful I found this podcast. Dr. Chavez provides nuanced, in depth episodes that avoid the pitfalls all too common on most, namely sound bites and promoting bogus or biased claims. I have learned so much from him As someone with an ED (and ED-triggered GI issues), I immensely appreciate his GI and eating disorder episode It actually helped me stick with my ED intensive treatment program and NOT remove any food from my diet (because it’s usually resolved when people sustain recovery and people with ED often use GI issues as reasons to restrict believing we have to). I’m grateful for this podcast and for his work. 10/10 will and HAVE recommended.

I really appreciate this podcast’s focus on evidence and the precise breakdown of misleading claims made on social media. There are so many misrepresented data and bad conclusions out there, often promoted by celebrities, and this podcast helps me keep up!

Nutrition information backed by science. What a concept!
Dr. Chavez tackles the topics that are so misrepresented by “Big Wellness.” He breaks down the science into easily “digested” facts. I highly recommend this podcast as well as his social media accounts.

There is so much misinformation, fear, and confusion around food and nutrition in the age of “wellness” influencers and endless fear mongers headlines. I’ve always found the science around these things interesting and the information you get on this podcast is so fascinating. It’s helping me with my messed up relationship with food.
Clear, precise, and reliable information
As a yoga teacher and personal trainer for over 20 years, I have seen my share of fads and fear mongering over food and nutrition. I appreciate Adrian’s knowledge and ability to bring honest and useful information to help us become healthier and smarter when it comes to nutrition and our diets.
Practical, “bigger picture” podcast
Dr. Chavez is always evidence based and does a great job breaking down a topic. He really does, as he says, “cuts through the noise” and is a voice of reason among a sea of other “experts” who perpetuate pseudoscience and fear mongering. Worth a listen!
Addicted
I have to confess that I am somewhat addicted to listening to Dr. Chavez’ podcast. He has helped to reinforce a lot of things that I thought were true about nutrition but was somewhat confused by social media claims that we all encounter and for that I am very grateful. What keeps me listening is that his podcasts are so easy to follow and he breaks down the vocabulary so I am able to fit it into my busy schedule. As a teacher myself, I can tell you that he puts a lot of thought and effort behind his work since his material is very well organized. He will often repeat key phrases for reinforcement and even provides a summary at the end. Dr Chavez is genuine, trustworthy, gives practical nutrition advice and he really cares about people. I hope he continues producing this very valuable podcast.
As a scientist myself, I really enjoyed this podcast
I appreciate the format, and the review of the current literature on questions related to nutrition and the environment. It’s evidence based, which is very important, we need more good science on nutrition. And the science we do have often gets distorted or reported on incorrectly so I appreciate Dr. Chavez’s approach.

I am a registered dietitian. I really appreciate enjoy and look forward to this podcast. He provides evidence based nutrition including many interesting and current topics. He guest are experts in their fields. No quackery here. I also enjoy the mini episodes and the more in-depth ones.
Practical and actionable content for the everyday person!
Dr Chavez is a wealth of nutrition knowledge. Not only that, he has a gift for breaking down the science of nutrition in easy to understand ways for everyone to learn from while also addressing nuances. As a physician, I love finding practical and evidence based resources to share with my patients as they navigate their weight management journey and I share this podcast with them. There are VERY FEW social media accounts I trust and this podcast & Dr Chavez’s Instagram page is one of them! Unfortunately there is some not so great nutrition and health information out there so it is refreshing to find Dr Chavez’s content!

No nonsense
I started following Dr. Chavez on Instagram and found his podcast there. I like how he is a source I can trust given his PhD in Nutrition, and how he uses science and sites actual studies to back up his claims. He cuts through all the influencer noise and explains things in a way that make sense. Thank you and keep up the good work, Dr. Chavez!

I’ve been following on Instagram for awhile and am a new listener to the podcast. I so appreciate that I can trust what you say and that you’re bringing the true science of nutrition and health and not just trends. I love that I can get answers to basic questions, bust myths and get nuanced information to feel better informed. Thank you so much!
Practical and Grounded Nutrition Advice
I am really enjoying the short, direct and approachable podcasts Dr. Chavez is putting out. His scientific (but also very humanistic) approach leaves me feeling educated and empowered. A great resource for straight-forward nutrition advice in an age of overwhelming noise around the topic.

Dr Chavez has significantly calmed down my food anxiety! However, because he seems to be very lax about almost everything, I do have a different type of concern sometimes. Overall, I love his content!
Good except for guest discussions
I like this show a lot and find it so helpful. I’ve listened to every episode. Your latest “hey dude” discussion w Dr Munoz was so fast paced, full of jargon and all over the map that it was really hard to follow. Please slow down, speak in layman’s terms and summarize each point. Thanks! Update 2/22/24 I really loved the Health at Every Size episode! So awesome. The latest discussion w your body training pharmacist friend was so confusing and full of jargon and unexplained acronyms. I couldn’t understand what she was saying. Please try to clarify what your guests are saying in plainer language. Also I found the insane level of focus on calories kind of disturbing.
So trustworthy
I found Dr. Chavez on Instagram and heard about the podcast. I listened to two episodes and went back to the beginning and have listened to so many episodes so far. He not only shares valuable information, but also the research behind it. The more I listen to people on social media, the more I got confused about what I should be eating. After listening to him, I feel much more confident about what I should eat, and the lifestyle that goes along with it to be healthy.
